The term Pit Bull is used to classify three types of dogs, the American Staffordshire bull terrier, the American Pit Bull Terrier and the Staffordshire bull terrier. All these dogs together, fall into the Pit Bull category. They are not very big in size but were used for fighting purposes in the olden days. Since they are a little aggressive by nature, being fighting dogs, Pit Bull obedience training is very important. At first one should understand the necessity for training.
