The term Pit Bull is used to classify three types of dogs, the American Staffordshire bull terrier, the American Pit Bull Terrier and the Staffordshire bull terrier. All these dogs together, fall into the Pit Bull category. They are not very big in size but were used for fighting purposes in the olden days. Since they are a little aggressive by nature, being fighting dogs, Pit Bull obedience training is very important. At first one should understand the necessity for training. There have been many instances of Pit Bulls’ attacking so one has to be very careful when attending to these dogs. But there is a contrary view to this where dog lovers feel that they are as aggressive as any other breed and even claim that this breed is wonderful around children.

Pit Bull obedience training has to start early and you should be able to control your dog with just a firm voice. They should also be exercised regularly as they are very active.
